For the purposes of UK data protection law, Peak Performance is the "data controller" of personal data collected through this website and in connection with our coaching, classes, and gym membership services.

2. What personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Contact and enquiry details — name, email address, phone number, and the content of any message you send us (e.g. via a contact or booking form).

Booking and class information — name, contact details, and the classes, sessions, or coaching pathways (Elevate, Apex, Ascent) you enquire about or book.

Membership and coaching information — if you join as a member or client, we may collect your address, date of birth, emergency contact details, and health, injury, or fitness information you provide (for example on a health questionnaire or PAR-Q form) so we can coach you safely. This is "special category data" under UK GDPR and is only collected with your explicit consent.

Payment information — if you pay for membership, classes, or coaching, payment is handled by our payment/booking provider; we do not store full card details ourselves.

Marketing preferences — if you opt in to receive updates, offers, or class information by email, SMS, or phone.

Website usage data — technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

Testimonials — if you provide a testimonial or review, we may publish your name (and, with your consent, a photo) on our website and social media.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Our services are intended for adults; where under-18s participate in coached sessions, data is collected from and with the consent of a parent or guardian.

4. Who we share your data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our business and website. We do not sell your personal data.

GoHighLevel / LeadConnector — our customer relationship management (CRM), booking, and marketing platform. It is used to manage enquiries, bookings, and (where you've opted in) marketing communications, and sets a tracking identifier when you visit our site.

Cloudflare — provides content delivery, security, and website performance/analytics services.

Google Maps — used to display our location; if you click through to Google Maps, Google's own privacy policy applies.

Payment/booking processors — used to process membership or session payments, where applicable.

Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) — if you interact with us through these platforms, their own privacy policies apply.

Some of these providers may process data on servers outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may also share data where required by law, or to protect the safety of our members, staff, or the public.

5. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including:

A CRM/tracking cookie (set via GoHighLevel/LeadConnector) used to recognise repeat visitors and connect website activity to enquiries or bookings.

Cloudflare cookies/technologies used for security and website performance.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the website function (e.g. booking forms).

6. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected:

Enquiry/contact data that does not lead to a booking or membership: generally up to 12 months.

Member and client records (including health/fitness information): for the duration of your membership plus a reasonable period afterwards for insurance, safety, and legal record-keeping purposes.

Financial records: as required by UK tax and accounting law (normally 6 years).

If you'd like details of a specific retention period, contact us using the details in Section 1.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you

Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data

Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal/contractual exceptions

Restrict or object to certain processing

Data portability for data you provided to us

Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent (e.g. marketing, testimonials)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month as required by law.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including relying on the security features of the third-party platforms listed in Section 4.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how we use your data or add new services. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version.
